Their is a noise in my suspension. It is a loud rattle while driving. I can also get the noise by standing by the front wheel and bouncing the car side to side. What could that be? Sounds like metal to metal. Suspension bushing? Thanks for any help. I just purchased the car today so if their are any other thing (quarks) anyone knows, please share with me.

If the sound is coming from the rear, it is probably a loose shock absorber. I have found it to be a common problem.

On high mileage shocks, they will vibrate and move side to side in the mounting creating the noise. To fix it, use washers to fill the space on the mounting bolt.
