66 Windshield Wiper Question

Hello All,

My wipers work fine, but the passenger side wiper parks a little high. It should park closer to the driver side wiper when everything is turned off. Can I just pull the wiper off, and remount it? Or does the whole thing need to be adjusted?

If I can pull off the wiper arm, can someone explain how to do it please? I don't want to wreck the paint around the arm.

The windshield wiper arm just pulls off, straight up. Use a screwdriver to pry and a shop rag to protect the paint. That is, if you do not have the tool to remove wiper arms. Then push back on in the correct position.

Hello All,

Can't seem to get the wiper off. How hard do you need to pull on the wiper. It feels like I am going to pull the whole motor out...

No visible rust, very clean...

Any further suggestions?

Put a protective cover over the arm. Take a pair of vice grips and get a firm hold on the arm. Push against the spring tension and pull.

hello all,

yes, the wiper arm does pull off straight up. I used a crowbar under the circular part of the wiper that pushes onto the pin. a piece of skinny MDF board on the windsheild and a rag protected the car. thanks for all the tips.
