I need some help from you fine folks. I own one of the biggest TREMEC businesses in the country and have a lot of experience, but admittedly I am stumped on this one. :banghead I have a customer with a numbers matching 1956 TBird and he is planning a swap from the OE engine and 3-speed to an FE motor with a TKO 5-Speed behind it.

While I don't have any issues with putting a system together that will work for him, I have no idea what the dimensions of the tunnel are or how much cutting, if any, he will have to do to get the 5-speed in the car.

I could use some help if anyone has completed a similar project. I am posting a link to our website below if a visual on our systems will help you to help me then feel free to visit. Thanks very much for the assistance! :cheers

While a trial and error fitting may be the only way to go, I would suggest another avenue first that may get you some help.

Try contacting AmosMinter (do a Google search). They are strictly a 55 to 57 TBird restoration and sales specialist out of Dallas/Fort Worth. While they may not have they answers you need, they may well know of someone who has the answers. Its worth a try. Good Luck!

Thanks for the referral. I will give them a call and see if they can steer me in the right direction. Most of the Ford tunnels are pretty big due to the size of the Ford automatics, but as you might imagine we see a lot fewer T-birds than we do Mustangs and Falcons.
