Well the 4.6 is used in many Ford vehicles. Crown vics, mustangs and F series. In order to verify if they would fit you would have to look at the head bolt to block pattern as well as the exhaust manifold bolt pattern. To help you verify you may want to look at a aftermarket application chart such as trick flow heads or edelbrock. They will usually list what head application will work with what cars. You could just call them and have them do the work for you! LOL
PS Im assuming that your thunderbird does not have the 32V head on it like some lincolns and the mach 1/svt mustangs. They came on the later years.
