This low-mileage classic of mine is one of the nicest 78 Diamond Jubilee's in existence. Perhaps there are a few guys out there who enjoy the 77-79 Body style. I drive a 1979 Bird as a daily driver here in FL, but the '78 DJE is only for the odd trip and cruise.
Here's some data on the Bird: 77,500 documented miles, original paint:polar white (rare) with blue/grey padded vinyl top (only one in existence that I know of); one of the last 5 models built in 1978, 400-2c (trailer package), leather interior; posi-traction, new dual exhaust, rear-end taken apart, acid-dipped, rebuilt; new tires and shocks and complete brake system, front and rear; NOS turbine wheels--including spare tire, center caps, lug nuts; NOS side-impact mouldings and all bright work, re-chromed bumpers; NOS front grille and surround, new lens (front and rear), lock cylinders; vehicle has all the bells and whistles (PS,PB, PTR,AC,PL,PW,Cruise, ATC, etc.) and they all work.
