My original stereo works and that's great. I'm leaving everything original. Does anyone have any ideas of where to mount a stereo and cd changer that is inconspicuous.

They had an option in 66 for a rear speaker. go here for a picture. I mounted a 12 disc cdplayer in the trunk, works great easily removed no harm done to car, i have 2 5 1\4 speakers in the door panels. Only harm there is the carpeting, which is alos easily replaced. if you wanna put a head unit in, i would mount ti under the dash, seat, or in the glove box

Try Custom Autosound.

They have dual-voice coil speakers so you can hookup left and right to a single speaker. They also have modern radios with CD controllers that fit the existing dash with little or no modifications. I haven't actually used any of their products, but am planning to when the time comes.
