As always, you need to check all your grounds. However, if the parking light is not a problem, I'd expect no problem from the ground of that light. I suggest you check the wire coming out of the turn signal relay that goes to theatfront turn signal for current. The diagram is in the shop manual.. If you have current in the trunk, that may mean you have to follow that wire looking for a break.
