Thanks boaterbob, now back from short vacation and back into the '66 so will try the above, I'm in the middle of fitting a "Hi-stop" extra stop light in the centre of the rear window. (ANOTHER NZ requirement).
I've just run the wire for it through beside the rear arm-rest and I'm going to hook it to the stop-light wiring 'somewhere'. however later on I plan on running the wiring in a more hidden manner.
