Shift lever drops
Still having problems with my shift-lever.
It stays in Park but due to the increased spring pressure from the new Neutral Safety Switch the shift-lever will drop from Reverse into Neutral then into Drive (often while I'm reversing!). It did this too with the old switch but not as bad.
I had the worn part of the lever built-up and re-shaped but it feels like there is nothing for the lever to 'grip' on the detent plate in the Reverse and Neutral positions, hence the above problem.
Any ideas why this is happening and what I can do to fix it???
