Good luck trying to figure how many still exist. You can try going on tbirdregistry.com and in the search menu check under cars by body style. I believe they are listed on there along with the 65 Special Landau. You will find a pretty good idea of how many are registered and what countries they might be in as well. For info from Ford try Marti Auto, there is a link on tbird registry for them. What you can get from them is refered to as an Eminger invoice(Doris Eminger worked for Ford and kept the gate releases) if you get one it will be the third copy of your actual car, one went on the window, one went to the dealer and then this was Fords copy. It will show the car and all options and price but it wont give you any info as to the # sequence for the car, I think there was 2000 of your car. We have a few of the 65 Special Landaus and I tried thru Ford for info and the best they could do was take the vin and send me a breakdown of it on Ford letterhead, of course it is info you can figure yourself but hey they tried. Off tbird registry I was able to look at production dates for cars listed and sequence #'s of 4500(total 65 Special Landaus) to get a ball park idea of what # one of our cars was. The others I was lucky and they had the original owners plaque with # in the cars. We do have a Whimbeldon White Special Landau and on the registry I was able to find a total of 10 cars registered. Out of the 4500 Specials they made in 65 only a couple hundred were Whimbeldon White so i guess considering 41 years have passed I guess 10 or a few higher is probably all that are left. Definitly not an exact science but it will get you an idea. Sorry so long winded
