If the 5th spot in the VIN is Q "6Y87Qxxxxxx" it's a factory 428 if its a Z "6Y87Zxxxxxx" its a 390. As far as the leak goes it could be anything check the oil pan gasket and valve cover gaskets first. I have seen some decent quality 66 convertables go for less than $16,000.00 I think a Landau would have to be in great condition to get that, even with a 428.
