Ignition Switch

I have a new key cylinder that I want to install. I took out the entire ignition switch. I expected to see a pin hole that would release the cylinder but I did not
can someone advise how to change out the cylinder.

I also have carburetor problems. I bought a rebuilt Carburetor. If my car sits for a week I have to use starting fluid to get it started. Once it is started I have no problems. I contactde the company that rebuilt the carb. He says that the older cars do not have a closed fuel system which allows the gas to evaporate. Does everyone have this problem or do you have any ideas.
