95' 4.6L 120K miles....I was traveling @ 15-20 mph, the rpm's spiked to around 3K. After letting off the accelorator, the tranny caught again and then seconds later, the car felt and sounded as though I'd ran over consecutive pot holes. I've read about a digital component which impacts tranny control in mid 95 models. Is it possible this could be my issue? Is it something greater or could it simply be a fluid leak?

She's run brilliantly until now and I'm worried about her health!

I am greatful for any assisstance in this matter.

If your O/D light was flashing then the computer should have stored a code. Take it to a shop that can scan it. I'd say that would be a good first step.
