A fellow at work, who used to own a '55 bird, gave me an old box that was to contain a replacement soft top for a '55-57 bird. He never used it so I unpacked it and it had instructions for a '48-55 Jaguar roadster. Some research puts serious doubt into my mind that it is a Jag top. The box says 1955 Thunderbird, and is at least 30 years old. The most distinctive feature is there are 2 large metal brackets in the top kit. Maybe these can help determine what it is? I can send photos of the top and brackets if anyone is interested in trying to identify it.
