kihale is on a distinguished road
Just got done with the same problem, be sure and check the vacuum diaphragm unit on the transmission. On my 64 it's connected to the check valve on top of the booster and when it failed the booster started sucking small amounts of transmission fluid into it which caused it to fail. The diaphragm unit is only about $20 and it would be good insurance to replace it also. Kim
