The motor is a 390, As for the miles i have know way of being certain since i bought the car used. The engine is detailed like it was out of the car and rebuilt. The car sat in a garage for 3 to 5 years. I did get it started and let it it run for about ten minuites several times. It holds real good oil pressure and does not knock or make any noises. I think the carb is bad because it does have black smoke out the exhuast. I did not see any blowby frtom the oil breather. Thats about all i know hope it helps
