Does anyone have a line on some 62 M Series Engine parts? Especially heads, distributor, and chrome dressup kit? I have a 62 Landau M Series that I'm restoring and would love to hear from anyone who has any other parts as well!

Thanks

The gentleman you need to talk to is Mr. O.G. McDonald who owns two beautiful 62 M Series Tbirds which he's beautifully restored himself. He's a friendly and helpful guy who also serves as the "Concours Director" for the Vintage Thunderbird Club International. He can tell you what is (or isn't) factory correct on your M Series and help you locate what you need. Send him an email at "[email protected]". Best of luck.

If you are looking for concourse quality you will have to match date numbers but other than that, the chrome kit is easy to do by having your (I believe it's 10) parts chromed that are on your engine now. The heads and manifolds are relatively easy to find. The distributer is harder but I recommend you switch to a pertronix anyway with a high voltage system they just help the engine to run so much better. I would assume you are also planning to go with the Tri Power. It is relatively easy to come by, I put one on my 63 roadster. To be exact you will also have to change the transmission and cam. That might be farther than you want to go.
