Gearworks,

Have you taken any pics of the exterior of your car yet? I'd like to see them! I have the pictures of your sweet brakes and interior and whatnot, but none of the car overall. If you send me some beauty shots of your beast, I'll put them up on my website!
Send 'em to [email protected]
That goes for anyone else on the list, too; if you want to show off your babies, send me some pics and I'll put up a special section of the site and stick your message board names under the pictures.

Mike

Hey, Gearworks, how goes the paint and so-forth? I'm still waiting for exterior pictures of your bird to put up on my website.
One of the rear brake cylinders on my new rear axle has already sprung a big fluid leak. Of course it didn't do it until I was 600 miles away from those particular spare parts in Michigan... So it seems I'll have squeaky brakes for a while...
Hopefully I'll be putting my '68 heads on my 351 W pretty soon... just need some stainless valves and the seats ground, and a little die grinder work on the intake and exhaust ports, of course. :) A new cam, lifters and 4-barrel intake manifold off of an '85 E250 will happen at the same time. I'm thinking of getting some 5.0 GT mustang factory tubular headers out of a junkyard and putting them on at the same time as well. And since I'll have to plumb external EGR if I want to pass emissions anyway, I'm thinking of making the very first EGR cooler for a 78 fomoco product. :)
Figured I'd throw what I've got out there for comment, seeing how dead this board has been lately.

Mike

external EGR cooler? hehehehe good lord i'm glad we dont have emissions! Not that i dont like the idea, but do you really think it'll help? i mean as far as youre sniffer tests?
actually if you want another idea you can mount the required elements of the original emissions just to pass the visual, HOWEVER one slightly expensive alternative that will raise even the stiffest "tree hugger's" eyebrows is the addtition of a holley efi system. get the older version thats cockpit controlable, and you can turn that monster down, WAY down to pass even 2000 year standards, and when you leave, crank 'er back up and fly!

As far as the bird goes, I told the guys that did the paint work they could kiss my $#%, and i hired another friend (does better work ;)) To do the fluff on it. I'm out in the shop killing time right now (saturday morning 7/20) And it sickens me to sit and look at it in the corner over there all neglected. i've missed a year and a half of shows, and REALLY miss teasing the import goobers.

But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. My buddy told me it would be easier and turn out better if we just fluffed what was there instead of going to all the hassle of re-clearing the car. YEAH! oooops sorry.

i'll keep ya posted.

Paul
The Gearworks
