You should use the highest octane gas you can get. This is cleaner for 1 and 2 you can get more power. When you use higher octane you can avance the spark more. Like on the 87 and 88 t-birds (i dont know before or after those years) they have a switch that you choose prem or reg. When you choose premium it supposibly will advance you timing a little more. When you move down you regular, it will not advance as much. This is good casue either way this little system ensures the most possible power from either. But it is better to use the higher quality (90% of the time)
