I would start by taking a look at the bottom end of the motor, bearins, crank, rods, pistons, etc. If clearances are good and everything is as should be you can let it go but a quality rebuild and balancing of all rotatiing components is always a good idea if looking for more power. The T3/4 is a good unit as I purchased and installed one myself, that alone made a significant difference, before the rebuild,i.e. I blew the engine, ergo the rebuild advice. You can save a good bit of money assembling the engine and it's components yourself, if you have the tools and equipment. Good luck.
