Post Floor pans

I am about to begin a restoration of sorts by replacing the floor pans. They are rusted through where the door sill drops down to the floor. I've seen some replacement pans but don't know how they are installed. Is it necessary to cut out the old rusted pan and weld in the new ones? I assume this is the case and will have a body shop do this for me since I don't weld. What should a job like this cost?Anyone had any experience with this repair? Anything else I need to look out for as far as the underside is concerned.....the rest of the underside looks good and seems solid. Should I have the whole thing sandblasted and sealed with undercoating? Any help will be welcomed.
