I hear that the softer weatherstrip is preffered, but eother way - the weatherstrip is EXPENSIVE. I have been dealing with Pat Wilson at www.wilsontbird.com - I am finishing up my 65 convertible and will be weatherstripping the whole trunk are which cost about $500 for concours quality grade - but after talking to several reasonable tbird vendors - they suggested that I just get basic stripping at auto zone or another parts store as I do not have a concourse quality car. They said the intent of the weather stripping is to keep the trunk dry and not really for the proper look (unless concourse is desired). Best of luck to you
