That's interesting. Years back I had trouble like that. Was putting together a 66 Conv. with a cruise o matic trans. The parts car I had was a hardtop with a C-6 trans. The cables did not interchange, Thinking the trouble was not Hardtop or Conv.. I think the issue could have been which trans was in the car. I think the C-6 trans has a shorter mount for the cable rocker/equalizer, But that's just my guess. Maybe you should see if there is a difference because of the trans. Did you try calling Pat Wilson or maybe John Draxler at the thunderbird ranch?
