i recently bought a 66 tbird.... its about time to fill the gas tank up.. what is everyone's opinion on this....

i was told it needs the lead substitute stuff... is that neccessaary and should i just follow the directions on the bottle? also, is it good to put in low octane gas or high octane premium gasoline.
