Any of the name brand oils are good, I would start with a 10-30 wt.
Pre oiling is a good idea but if you oiled all the moving parts on assembly not really necessary. On these engines you can fill the oil filter upon installing so you should pick up pressure in a few seconds.
What is very important is to let the engine idle untill you show good oil pressure--if not shut it down immediately.
Once oil pressure is established just take it easy for the first few hundred miles and I would change it at around 500.
