Mine did the same, plus it was dripping so I took it in for a rebuild. A 75-year old gentleman who rebuilt Cruisos for years did it. Something inside had broken - I think one of the band attachments + something in the control valve body wasn't operating just right. Shifts good now. About $1,500 two years ago.
