30-A rider is on a distinguished road
I looked at the car early this morning gentlemen. Drove 5.5 hours to see this car as described by the owner in his ad and on the phone as "69 t bird landau. senior owned and cared for. All power options and all work including headlights, turn signals etc. motor has 4000 miles on complete rebuild and new paint 10 months ago. all documentation included" when I spoke to the amek ont he phone I specifially asked is there any rust at all you can see, any paint bubbling and he replied no this car is perfect and needs nothing.

Reality: none of the windowns worked and most of the window switches were missing, power seat did not work, AC compressor didnt even engage, wrinkle in the hood, driver rear door would not close, left cornering light didnt work, seat of interior look like they were recovered by a complete novice, carpet is aftermarket astro turf green as were the seats compared to the dark olive door panels, and what pissed me off most was the 4 blatant spots of bubbling rust under the paint you coule see from 20 feet away!"

I looked at another car while I was up there that was a 1968 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight loaded 4 door that also was supposed to be a turn key driver ready to go. just as bad.

SO TO SUMARIZE: I drove to Atlanta last night which was a 6 hour drive, got a hotel room, ate a great breakfast, saw 2 pieces of shit, and drove home another 6 hours" hope the last 24 hours for you was better than mine was.

BUT, I must say thanks to all on here who replied and tried to offer some advice...much appretiated.

Scott
