Areas of rust to look at, I've heard that the frame is one area, around the suspension for the rear. Also witha vinyl top, around the rear window could be a problem. As I already mentioned, mine is rusted at the bottom of front fenders due to the trim holding moisture. Can't tell you anything about the diff, but if it is a 9", should be easy enough to swap out the guts. The pics look as if it is a decent driver and with easy access to the back seat!
