Yes, I wish there was a better forum to bounce ideas around, but maybe it will grow. As for value, I would think if it is in that good of shape and all works well, it may be worth 10 grand. There is not a lot of them out there to compare prices. I would think that the 4 door (suicide door) birds would be more collectable, because that is one unique feature that folks remember them for, but really I think the 2 door models look better. As a guide, I paid $4000 for my '69 about 18 years ago. It was a 24k mi car, with only surface rust by the lower front fender trim. It had been sitting a few years (indoor). A fun car to drive, but I like everything to work and with all of the electronics, I won't really have time to devote to solving all the issues until I retire. I also agree that if you intend to keep it for yourself, it's worth whatever you can afford get it for. As for resale, I don't feel like there is a huge market for them right now, but what do others think?
