I did a silly thing once on one of my '65. After putting on new calipers and bleeding for what seemed like hours I had -0- pedal, even reverted to manual bleeding thinking my power bleeder was faulty. What I discovered was I had the calipers on the wrong side. The Calipers will physically bolt either left or right... The bleed screw was facing upwards, which would never ever bleed properly. Swapped sides and as soon as I started bleeding the pedal got firm. Hope it is that easy for you.
